BREAKING: Jagaban pencils Audu Ogbeh for SGF

According to sources, APC Chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has anointed Chief Audu Ogbeh to be the new Secretary to Government of the Federation. This is due to last minute changes in key positions as Saraki and Dogara emerged Speakers of Senate and house of representatives respectively against the initial choices of the APC. The South East geopolitical zone might have finally lost the position of Secretary to Government of the Federation to the North Central zone. Prior to the present plans to shift the position of SGF away from South East, the zone had already
shortlisted three candidates for the post including former national chairman of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Ogbonaya Onu, former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Chris Ngige and current Secretary to the Imo State Government (SSG), Prof. Awurum.

Chairman of Ohanaeze State Presidents’ Forum, Chief Chris Eluemunoh, however, said it was disgraceful for Nd’Igbo to go can in hands begging for appointments from APC or the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that the zone voted for Jonathan without apologies.

Ogbeh was born on July 28, 1947, in Otukpo, Benue State, of Idoma background. He attended King's College, Lagos (1967 - 1968), then studied at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1969 - 1972) and the University of Toulouse, France (1973 - 1974). He lectured at the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1972 - 1976) and headed the Department of Humanities, Murtala College of Arts, Science and Technology (1977 - 1979).
