The Super Falcons lost to their American Counterparts by 1 - 0, the goal was scored by Abby Wambach's volley seconds before half-time. Falcon's Sarah Nnodim was given her marching orders in the 69th minute, after she picked up her second yellow card as a result of bringing down Sydney Leroux just outside the area. With their numerical advantage intact, USA kept possession well and maintained the scoreline to win the game.
