The Mutual Union of the Tiv in America, MUTA is set to conduct it’s annual health fair in Benue State during which free health services will be rendered.
According the the MUTA Health Committee Chairperson, Dr Joseph D. Gar, the programme is aimed at addressing some of the basic health care needs of the people of Benue State.
The team which comprises of Doctors, Nurses, Medical students and other health workers recruited from home and abroad will be visiting three local government areas.
The schedule of activities are as follows:
June 12 (Friday): Courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Benue State.
June 13 (Saturday): Symposium at Benue State University (10:00am to 4:00pm)
June 15 (Monday): 1st day of health fair in Naka, Gwer West LGA
June 16 (Tuesday): 2nd day of health fair in Naka, Gwer West LGA
June 17 (Wednesday): 1st day of health fair in Buruku, Buruku LGA
June 18 (Thursday): 2nd day of health fair in Buruku, Buruku LGA
June 19 (Friday): 1st day of health fair in Ukum LGA
June 20 (Saturday): 2nd day of health fair in Ukum LGA
June 21 (Sunday): Farewell reception for health fair participants in Makurdi
