The German female national team humiliated their Ivory Coast counterparts by a whopping 10 goals to none. The Ivorians who are debutantes at the competition knew they had a tough game coming up against the two time champions. Celia Sasic opened scoring in the 3rd minute, and the floodgates opened. She added another 11 minutes later, and she completed her hat trick in the 31st minute.Anita Mittag got a brace too ending the first half at 5 - 0. The second half started in much similar fashion to the first, Anita Mittag completed her hat trick, with Simone Laudehr, Sara Daebritz, Melanie, Alexandra Popp all getting on the score sheet.
